| Bob Clayton was an American game show announcer and host of several shows. Clayton assumed announcing duties on Concentration in 1963, and took over hosting duties on the show in 1969 following a failed experiment with Ed McMahon as host. Clayton also went on to be the announcer for many shows created by Bob Stewart, the most notable of which was the Pyramid series of games, beginning with The $10,000 Pyramid in 1973. During his work on The $20,000 Pyramid, Clayton took ill due to years of cigarette smoking. On November 1, 1979, Clayton died of cardiac arrest.
