| Brad Cotter (born Sept. 29, 1970) is the 2004 winner of the Nashville Star country music talent competition, aired on the USA Network. From an early age, he trained with Jerry Reed, who had performed with Elvis Presley and the gospel music group The Stamps Quartet. Cotter's first public performance was at the age of nine in a church in Columbus, Georgia. He recorded five gospel records in the next eight years, and was voted the "top child Gospel soloist in America". He dropped out of performing in his late teen years, then returned to music in his home town of Auburn, Alabama, where he joined the group Silverado. The band toured with such acts as Dr. Hook, The Byrds, Vertical Horizon, John Anderson and Lorrie Morgan. Cotter left Silverado in 1993 and moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he tried to get work as a solo act and a songwriter. He was unable to obtain a major record deal until his victory on Nashville Star, which gained him a recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment. Brad is the half brother of US Air Force Technical Sgt. Christopher Shan Hinkle. [ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for Brad Cotter ] | Searches on eBayRelated searches on eBay |
