| Capcom Generations (Japanese title: カプコン ジェネレーション Capcom Generation in singular form) is a series of five video game compilations released by Capcom in 1998 for the Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn in Japan and Europe. Each volume contains three or four games from a particular series or niche and were ported directly from their original arcade versions (with the exception of Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts, which was originally an SNES game). Each disc also contains a "collection mode" featuring history, tips, artwork, character profiles, arranged music (which can be enabled on the game themselves as well) and other unlockable contents for each game. The PlayStation versions of the games also featured support for the Dual Shock controller. The five Capcom Generations titles were released individually in Japan, while the first four volumes were sold as a bundle in Europe. The fifth volume (which focused on the Street Fighter series) was released separately (without any ties to the Capcom Generations series) in Europe and was the only volume in the series released in North America. The 16 games in the series were later collected in the Capcom Classics Collection based on their Capcom Generations versions. Wings of DestinyThe first disc in the series (released in Japan as カプコン ジェネレーション -第1集 撃墜王の時代-, Capcom Generation Vol. 1: Gekitsuiou no Jidai ). It focuses on Capcom's "1940s" series and contains the first three games of the series.
Chronicles of ArthurThe second disc in the series (released in Japan as カプコン ジェネレーション -第2集 魔界と騎士-, Capcom Generation Vol. 2: Makai to Kishi ). Contains the first three titles of the Ghosts 'n Goblins series.
First GenerationThe third disc (released in Japan as カプコン ジェネレーション -第3集 ここに歴史はじまる-, Capcom Generation Vol. 3: Kokoni Rekishi Hajimaru). Contains four of Capcom's first five titles.
Blazing GunsThe fourth disc (released in Japan as カプコン ジェネレーション -第4集 弧高の英雄-, Capcom Generation Vol 4.: Kokou no Eiyuu). Contains three different "Run 'n Gun"-style shooting game.
Street Fighter Collection 2The fifth disc (released in Japan as カプコン ジェネレーション -第5集 格闘家たち-, Capcom Generation Vol 5: Kakutou-tachi), although it was not marketed as part of the Capcom Generations outside Japan. It contains the first three versions of the original Street Fighter II.
