Cormyr, heart of the Heartlands
, is a kingdom in the fictional fantasy setting of the Forgotten Realms
. It is the epitome of medieval Europe, and particularly France. Land of honour, strong rulers and valorous knights (the Purple Dragons), its late king, Azoun IV defeated the Tuigan hordes coming from the Endless Wastes.

Strong by the sword, Cormyr also is by the staff. Vangerdahast is the leader of the War Wizards of Cormyr.
