| Cubia is a monster fought inside the .hack PlayStation 2 games. Cubia is the other side of the Bracelet, being born when the Bracelet was created. Because it is the other side of the Bracelet, it will do the opposite of the Bracelet. An example would be Kite trying to talk to Aura and Cubia trying to stop him. Cubia was born when the Bracelet was created but he did not have a physical form until Kite, the protagonist in the .hack video games, data drained Skeith. Skeith's massive amount of data built up and made a physical form for Cubia. Every time Kite data drained a Phase, Cubia got stronger. Aura sends many emails to Kite, telling him not to fight Cubia. This is because if he does kill Cubia, the Bracelet will also be destroyed, taking away any chance Kite has to defeating the final phase, and The World will be destroyed. Despite this, Kite fights anyway but has no luck destroying Cubia until he understands how the Bracelet and Cubia are linked. Kite tells Blackrose to attack the Bracelet, destroying it along with Cubia, leaving them with no way to defeat the final phase. Later on in Legend of the Twilight, Shugo obtains a Bracelet. This Bracelet also has the power to spawn Cubia but because Shugo hasn't data drained anything powerful canon-wise, like Skeith, Cubia did not have a physical form. Take note that the anime of Legend of the Twilight is non-canon and the manga is canon. In the anime, Shugo did data drain something powerful, the AI Morti, but because it's non-canon Cubia did not spawn. There are some fans who believe that Tri-Edge in .hack//G.U might be a new form of Cubia. They point to the fact that a part of Tri-Edge's bracelet is missing, the same part that Blackrose attacked Kite's Bracelet. [ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for Cubia ] | Searches on eBay |
