Curious Pastimes (CP) is a setting for Live action role-play (LARP). CP broke away from the larger setting Lorien Trust in 1996.

CP contains most of the same rules about combat as Lorien Trust but there are some subtle differences between which types of ranged weapons are allowed, as well as others. The skill assignment system is different.

The world of Curious Pastimes is split into several Factions. The factions include:

Lions
Jhereg
Vipers
Nomads
Fir Cruthen
Wolves
Al Gaia

Any character that does not belong to one of the factions is classed as a Mercenary.

Each faction has it's own heirarchial structure with leaders (Known as Lord Generals) and some form of Royalty or Democratic ruler.

The main meetings of CP are held about four times a year. Renewal is held every year at the bank-holiday-weekend in August.
