Darkeden is the first online MMORPG horror game that contains the ability to be one of two races(three in the Korean and Thai version).

Races

Slayer

Human race, can choose to be one of five classes or a mix. With Slayers you don't have to increase stats. The weapon does that for you. Blade/Sword: Increases your Str. Guns: Increase your Dex. Cross/Mace: Increase your Int. The other stats get increased as well, but lower than the main stat that your weapon is giving you.

Gunner :Specializes in gunfire. Standard weapons are SMGs, ARs, SRs, and SGs. Normally used are SMGs and ARs. Their major attribute is dexterity for their aiming.

Blader :Specializes in heavy blades. Double handed, no shield available. Very strong but slower in attack speed. Their major attribute is strength.

Sworder :Specializes in light swords. Single handed, can wield along side a shield. Quick attack but weaker than blade. Major attribute is strength.

Enchanter :Holy warrior. Specializes in magic. A cleric with powerful attack spells. One of the most feared classes by vampires with the ability to detect invisible vampire presence.

Healer :Holy warrior. Specializes in magic. A cleric with powerful heal spell. Major need in groups, can ressurect fallen players and attack with slight power.

Vampire

Vampire is considered an easy Race to level by many players in that the player can solo to the Max level (150). This race allows you to put your stats up how you please. All Vampires get all skills as well, but depending on your build some skills are not going to benefit the player as well as others will. Str, Dex, and Int starts out at 20 and it can never go lower than that.

Int/Dex Build (Dex:240/Int:The rest of the stats) :This build the character can cast Magic and have the wait time reduced and do decent damage at the same time. The Dex should be about 240 to have the full extent of the Rapid Glide. One of the Vampires best skills.

Str/Dex Build (Dex:240/Str:The rest of the stats) :In this build the character uses the hands to do the most damage while keeping the max rapid glide. The dex increases ToHit which effects how much you hit them and how much they can hit you. The basic attack skills would be Acid Hand, Bloody nail, and hand's of wisdom (With a range of 2). -----------------------------------

Ouster

Ousters are the "in between" race of Vampires and Slayers. At the beginning of the character creation, you get 15 points and are allowed to add them as you please. The lowest stat point you can have is 10. In this race, there are generally 2 categories, namely, Elemental and Combat Ousters. Both have their own seprate skill tables and Elemental Ousters use Wristlets as weapons while Combat Ousters use Chakrams as weapons.

Elemental :In the Elemental table, you can learn a combination of Elements but allowing the skills to work depends on the type of Elemental Stones and their levels.

Fire :The offensive magic of the trio, it specialises in damage and area attacks. Supposedly, one of the ouster that level the fastest.

Water :Dealing the least damage of the three, it is very much like the Slayer's version of the Healer. This Ouster works best as a support during battle.

Earth :Similar to the Slayer's version of Enchanter, it is able to detect invisible Vampires and does average damage.

Int/Dex Build (Dex:240/Int:The rest of the stats) :The popular build of Elemental Ousters,it is like the Vampire's Int/Dex build but the reasons are different. This build is to give Elemental Ousters a decent amount of Defence to gain higher evasion rate while been able to do a good amount of damage.

Int Build (Int:All points to Int) :This would no doubt maximize the skills potential but the side effect is that they are very much considerably weaker and are most likely to perish when fighting a bunch of enemies.

Str/Dex Build (Str:Variable/Int:Variable) :This is the most uncommon of the 3 builds and it focuses on reducing the enemies damage instead of evading them. This build is only be recommended for Fire Ousters although the Int/Dex is preferred.

Combat :This type of Ousters do not have sub groups and are not restricted to using Elemental Stones to use their skills(except for certain passive skills) unlike the Elemental Ousters. Certain skills only work well under their own builds. As such, it is not recommended to learn all skills except skills that would benefit your own build.

Str/Dex Build (Dex:Variable/Str:Variable) :In this build, the skills do a wide range of damage and is therefore unpredictable. However, they take the most damage during a battle with the other races. It is also supposed to be difficult to level using this build.
