| Dungeons of Daggorath is a computer game from the early 1980s, played on the Tandy Color Computer. It is one of the very first games that attempted to portray 3d space, using angled lines to give the illusion of depth. The player moves around a dungeon, issuing commands by means of typing - for example, typing "pick up left shield" or "use right torch". The object of the game is to defeat a wizard, who is on the fifth and last level of the dungeon. Perhaps the most unique feature of the game is a heart beat which rises as the player moves about and types commands, adding greatly to the excitement of the game. The game is very difficult to beat and can take days or weeks to master which is remarkable because the entire game is barely 8 kilobytes in size. It is said to have influenced a number of other early 3d games, and is certainly a little known classic. [ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for Dungeons of Daggorath ] | Searches on eBay |
