SummaryDutch Blitz (©) is a fast-paced, family oriented, action card game played with a specially printed deck. The game was created by a German immigrant from Pennsylvania Dutch country. The game is very popular among the Pennsylvania Amish and Dutch community, and among Christian groups in the United States.Overview of GameplayDeck contents:
ObjectiveThe prime objective of Dutch Blitz is to play as many cards as you can into the center Dutch Piles. You do this by playing cards from your Blitz Pile, Post Piles, and Wood Pile on the Dutch piles. Dutch Piles are built up up in ascending order (from 1 to 10).Game End/Point ScoringThe game ends when a player plays all 10 of the cards out of his/her Blitz Pile and yells "BLITZ!". Each player scores points as follows: #Count the number of cards he/she has played in the Dutch Piles. #Subtract the number of cards left in his/her Blitz Pile multiplied by two from the number of points gained from Dutch Piles.Usually more rounds are played until one player reaches 75 points.
