Dynaheir is the name of a fictional character in the Baldur's Gate series of Dungeons & Dragons
computer role-playing games from Black Isle Studios, voiced by Jennifer Hale. She is on of several non-player characters who assist the main character through the game.

Dynaheir is a proclaimed "wychalarn" witch, which in Dungeons & Dragons terms means she is a lawful good human wizard. Dynaheir hails from the eastern land of Rashemen in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting and is travelling alongside her champion Minsc, who has sworn to protect her.

Game appearances

During Baldur's Gate, the first game in the series, she and Minsc have been sent to examine if the prophecy of the Bhaalspawn is true. In her search, she was taken captive by a group of evil dog-like creatures known as gnolls, and held prisoner at their island stronghold. Upon reaching the town of Nashkel, the main character will encounter Minsc who pleads for help in freeing Dynaheir, but the party can also meet the wizard Edwin who asks for their help in killing Dynaheir. If the player chooses to rescue Dynaheir, Minsc and her will become inseperable, and if either of the two are later dropped from the party, then the other will leave as well. She shows herself to be a capable wizard, but has a very steel-set attitude, not thinking much of what anyone else has to offer.

Before the beginning of Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Dynaheir is killed by the main villain Jon Irenicus. Minsc is in deep sorrow, but later accepts Aerie as his new witch if he travels with her in the player's party.
