Gameloft is a leading international publisher and developer of video games for mobile phones, headquarted in France, with offices all around the world. Gameloft is listed on the Paris Stock Exchange (Bloomberg: GFT FP, Reuters: GFT.PA).

With around 1700 employees worldwide, Gameloft posted consolidated revenues of 20.4 million euros in the first half of 2005, a 134% increase over the previous year. Through agreements with major telephone wireless carriers, handset manufacturers, specialized distributors and its online shop, Gameloft has a distribution network in over 65 countries. The company creates games for mobile handsets equipped with Java, BREW or Symbian technology.

History

Gameloft was established in 1999 by the Guillemot family as sister company from Ubisoft Entertainment. Partnership agreements with leading licensors and sports personalities such as Ubisoft Entertainment, Longtail Studios, Universal Pictures, Paramount Studios, Dreamworks, Vans, Derek Jeter, Vijay Singh and Geoff Rowley allowed Gameloft to form strong relationships with international brands.
