Gearbox Software is a video game developer founded in January 1999. They are best known for a number of high-profile PC games such as Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30 and the Half-Life expansions Opposing Force and Blue Shift.

Gearbox was also responsible for the PC
-port of Halo: Combat Evolved.

Their newest release, Brothers In Arms: Earned in Blood, is a World War II tactical shooter sequel to Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30.

Gearbox Software is located in Plano, Texas near Dallas, Texas.
