George Hamilton is a video game character appearing in the Resident Evil video game series. He is one of the main characters in Resident Evil Outbreak

Background

George is a doctor and surgeon who works at the Raccoon General Hospital (Same hospital from Resident Evil 3). George was married but was divorced prior to the t-virus outbreak in Raccoon City. George seems to be more sophisticated and intelligent than the other characters and also has a watch collection.

Raccoon City Outbreak

During the t-virus outbreak in Raccoon City, George and several other survivors managed to escape from a bar that was attacked by monsters. George managed to help survivors and the Raccoon Police Department by activating a bomb to destroy the monsters. George ended up becoming infected from the T-virus.

The Lab

Yoko and George, and the others enter the lab from Resident Evil 2 (sometime before Leon and Claire do). The Lab is frozen and the survivors had to unfreeze it to activate the turn-table. The Ivys and Lickers are not present but instead there are Hunters. An Umbrella employee, Monica trys to steal a G-Embryo sample and is then attacked by William Birken, who is infected with the G-Virus, and implants another G-Embryo inside her. Yoko gets a magnum from a comrade. George defeats the monster and questions the effects of man playing God.

The Hospital

George and the other survivors are trapped in the hospital that he works in (sometime before Carlos enters it in Resident Evil 3). One of the doctors are covered in leeches and become the leech-man. George lures the leech-man into a temperature control room to burn the leeches to death. After defeating the leech-man, the survivors encounter a giant leech while trying to escape through the sewers. The monster dies and George and the others make their way out of the sewers. Strangely for a doctor who works at the hospital, he can not access the levels of the hospital that Carlos can in Resident Evil 3. He also does not know the passcodes to the elevator.

Apple Inn

Sometime in their attempt to escape George and the other survivors enter a burning hotel and fight powerful licker before escaping. The whole city is a mess beyond repair.

Raccoon City Zoo

George, Cindy and the others enter the zoo where all the animals were infested with the T-Virus. They encounter an elephant, lions and hyenas.

Subway

The survivors find themselves in a subway station infested with giant insects.

Woods and old Hospital

George and Alyssa and the others encouter a strange man in the woods who leads them to an old hospital filled with mutated plants which have affected the zombies as well. They eventually get attacked by a man with an axe. The Hospital is destroyed and George makes his way through the woods again.

Raccoon City Police Station

George and the others meet up with Marvin Branagh and the few remaining police. (Before RE2 and RE3). The police try to find an escape route. During this mission the survivors encounter Ben Bertolucci who helps them. Before long zombies burst into the front gate and George and the others must have a showdown before escaping. Marvin is bitten so he stays behind.

University

George receives a note from his friend Peter Jenkins. George and the others head to the college to discover a cure to the T-Virus called Daylight. After splitting up and finding the components to create Daylight (one of them is attached to a Tyrant called Thanatos), George prepares to complete the process, but is stopped by Greg, a mad scientist from Umbrella. Greg reveals some of Yoko's past to her but is shot and killed by what appears to be UBCS agent Nicholai Ginovaef. The bombs planted are activated and the survivors must flee the building before it is destroyed. They battle a Thanatos before they can board a helicopter.

Fate

The are several endings of the game. Since most Resident Evil games count the good endings it is safe to assume that is the same here and that George survived.

Bad Endings:

Staying Behind: The Daylight Cure is not taken, the survivors stay behind and George and Cindy hold hands and wait for the nuclear warheads to destroy the city.

Helicopter: The Daylight serum is not taken, but George still possesses a vial of it. As the chopper departs the doomed city, George yields to the T-Virus, attacking his rescuers and causing the helicoper to crash.

Good Endings:

Remain Hopeful: George cures the survivors and they all board the helicopter. The city is terminated by nuclear weapons and George holds the Daylight sample knowing that he is not a hero because he was only doing his duty as a doctor. What happens to George is unknown after this event.
