The Gutshot is a poker club located in Clerkenwell Road, London. The club opened in January 2004, and in the two years has gained almost 5000 members .

The club runs ring games almost 24-7, and tournaments once or twice per day. In addition to its poker mainstay, the club is also a bar, restaurant and Internet cafe.

Famous players

Perhaps the Gutshot's greatest brush with fame occurred in July 2005, when Tiffany Williamson finished 15th in the World Series of Poker
, having qualified for the tournament via a satellite held at the club.
Roland De Wolfe
, editor of the Inside Edge gambling magazine and professional poker player, won first place in the pot limit Texas hold 'em
event at the Gutshot Poker Festival in October 2005.

Court ruling

The club is currently awaiting a court ruling on the legality of its mode of operation, having been charged with breaches of the UK's 1968 Gaming Act .
