Heli Attack 1 is a classic shoot-'em-up game created by squarecircleco made in Macromedia Flash. It features you, the lone soldier, destroying an unlimited number of helicopters, or helis, using a wide array of weapons. It is considered by the makers as an "incomplete game" due to its lack of sound and fun. The game was created alongside another game called Sky Defender, which used the same sprites and background. Heli Attack 1 was released in 2001.

There is only one kind of heli in Heli Attack. It can go as close to the player as it wishes. There is only one level in Heli Attack, with an unlimited number of helis. Heli Attack 2 is based off this format.

Weapons and powerups

The player gets a new weapon or powerup after killing every 3 helis.

Weapons

Machine Gun: The standard weapon to start with. It shoots orange bullets. It has a fair reload time. It has infinite bullets, and deals 1/30 damage.
Faster Machine Gun: Similar to regular Machine Gun, but with a faster reload.
Shotgun: A gun that shoots 5 wide-spread bullets at once. It has a slower reload than the Machine Gun.
Flamethrower: A gun that shoots flames. It has a very fast reload time, quicker than any other weapon in Heli Attack 1.
Rocket Launcher: A launcher that shoots rockets. It has a slow reload, but does good damage.

Powerups

Health: These health packs gives the player 10 health points.
Invulnerability: This makes the player safe from enemy fire. It only lasts for a period of time.
