Icons is a documentary TV show on G4 that focuses on the history of a video game franchise, a video game company, a video game genre, a video game character, a video game console, notable moment in video game history, or a notable person in the video game industry.

In December 2005, the editor for Icons that he had been fired, and that G4 was retooling the show for 2006. It has not been announced as to what changes are being made, but speculation says the show's video game focus is being dropped in favor of a focus on pop culture, implied by recent episodes which spotlighted movie director George Romero and the movie King Kong.
