Imperial Conflict is a popular online game started in 2000 by game administrators Stefan and Mastermike.

The game has seen many new additions including morale, a n00b galaxy, and "Premium Accounts." Although stagnating as of late, a new and improved Imperial Conflict better-known as "IC3" has promised to be delivered in the upcoming year. However, the sole admin, Stefan, has decided to postpone working on IC3 and its future is up in the air.

While players are initially drawn to "conquer the galaxy" the community that is developed in the forum seems to have staying power, at times special forums are created when the need arrises. For instance, shortly after the 9/11 attacks in the US a special forum was made for IC members to express their opinions and experiences some of whom were direcltly affected.

Some improvements have been added to the game over the years such as new operations. While the most requested additions remain battlecruiser or death star, these are generally turned down. However, ideas with actual thought and merit have been written into the game, such as the new races that were introduced, the Revalons and Camaar, which were created for bankers and attackers respectively.

The game has a strong community with a large amount of people returning to the forums and chat server long after finishing playing the game, there are regular out of game meetings between players and ex-players and with most people being friendly and ready to help.
