Story

Little of anything is known about Ingrid, however, the PSP version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 gives away some possibilities about her true origins. Apparently, her source of power is a derived from Psycho Power, however, it is unknown if her power is purely evil like that of M. Bison
or converted into something similar to Rose's
Soul Power. Ingrid also claims that she is the true bearer of Psycho Power, as she constantly tells Bison that Psycho Power is "Her power" and that Bison has stolen some of it. It seems that her use of Psycho Power is so intense that if given the chance, she could actually break Ryu's
madness if he ever succumbs to the evil of Satsui no Hadou
.

Ingrid also posseses psychic abilities similar to Rose, as she adressed Ryu and Rose by name even though both never revealed their names to her. Rose, on the other hand, cannot look into Ingrid's future as she did with other Street Fighters.

Also, there is a possibility that Ingrid can travel though time, as she mentions heading to the year 201X and seeing that Ryu has somehow become a reclusive monk.

Trivia

  • She was originally supposed to appear in Capcom Fighting All-Stars. However, due to the cancellation of the game, she made her first official appearance in Capcom Fighting Evolution.
  • Her catchy theme song entitled "Heat Haze", was sung by Maiko Kubo. The lyrics mention that it is lonely to be so powerful. The beginning of Heat Haze also contains a series of six notes that resemble part of the opening riff from the song In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly.
  • She is the only Street Fighter character to have a full set of lyrics present in her stage theme, as opposed to the vocal samples used in Cammy's
    and Elena's
themes or other songs that are not used in-game.
  • She possesses stronger psychic powers than Bison and Rose.
