Jass is the name of a trick taking card game. It is popular in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Vorarlberg (Austria), and is sometimes considered as the national game in Switzerland.

It is played with a deck of 36 cards (A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6), used with french, swiss-german or austrian cards.

While many variants of the game exist, with 2 to 6 players, the most commonly played is called chibre (Schieber), and involves 2 teams of 2 players playing against each other.
