Konsole is a free terminal emulator for the KDE Desktop Environment.

It supports a tabbed document interface, history, printing, and bookmarks. Some applications including Konqueror and Kate use Konsole as a KPart to embed terminal functionality. Konsole is different from many other terminal emulators from the fact that it was a complete rewrite, instead of being based on xterm or rxvt like most other terminal emulators are.
