Lee Harding, (born June 8, 1983), was a contestant on Australian Idol in the third season. He is from the sea-side city of Frankston, Victoria.BedrockBefore Australian Idol, Lee started was attending pubs to see his favourite cover band Bedrock - a party band repertoire that ranges from Footloose to Centrefold to Jessie's Girl to Top 40 hits by Lee's heroes Good Charlotte and Green Day. His dreams came true when Bedrock shuffled their lineup. Lee was dragged up on stage and sang half of Blink 182's "Dammit". Bedrock then took Lee on as their lead singer. He is quoted on his website as saying, "I'd been going to see them since I was 16. I saw them every single week so I knew every song and when I joined it was like joining my favourite band."Australian IdolOne of his most notable performances was during The '80s theme night were he performed "Eye Of The Tiger", receiving a Touchdown from Mark Holden. His time on Australian Idol has not been without controversy. On November 7, 2005, Lee made it into the final three alongside Kate DeAraugo and Emily Williams, having getting through instead of Dan England by just 27 votes, in what is believed to be the narrowest margin in Australian Idol to date. On November 14, 2005 Lee was eliminated from the competition. He is about to tour with Shannon Noll, a finalist in the first Australian Idol, along with fellow Idol Dan England.Australian Idol Performances# Audition: "Run To Paradise" - (The Choirboys) # Semi Final (Group 3): "The Anthem" - (Good Charlotte) # Top 13: Australian Hits - "Holy Grail" - (Hunters and Collectors) # Top 11: 1960s Theme - "I'm A Believer" - (The Monkees) # Top 10: Rock Supergroups - "Roxanne" - (The Police) # Top 9: Idols' Choice - "Holiday" - (Green Day) # Top 8: Big Band Night - "Straighten Up And Fly Right" - (Robbie Williams) # Top 7: 1980s Theme - "Eye of the Tiger" - (Survivor) # Top 6: Up Close & Personal - "Plush" - (Stone Temple Pilots) # Top 6: MoTown Theme - "Ben" - (Michael Jackson) # Top 5: 1970s Theme - "My Sharona" - (The Knack) # Top 4: Elvis Theme - "Teddy Bear" and "Jailhouse Rock" - (Elvis) # Top 3: #1 Hits - "Faith" - (George Michael) and "Tainted Love" - (Gloria Jones (Living End version))DiscographyAlbumsOthers
