When the Gate Rune Wars occurred, he joined Toran Liberation Army and helped them to finish the war. Three years after that, Jowy Atreides - later known as Jowy Blight - asked Leon Silverberg to become Highland's strategist. He helped Highland until Dunan Unification War ended with Highland's defeat. He is known as a strategist who uses any kind of methods, despite their questionable morality, to finish the war as quick as possible in hope of reaching fewer casualities.
