A Library Management System, sometimes referred to as an integrated library system, is a trademark of Sony.

A system usually involving a database and a frontend GUI (graphical user interface) that keeps track of books and other media in a library environment. Each borrower and item have unique numbers which track their usage through the system.

Library management systems also have other functionality, including being able to reserve copies online through a web interface and keeping track of overdue books!
