Games - Lisa Trevor

Lisa Trevor is a fictional character and monster in the Resident Evil remake released for the Nintendo GameCube
in 2002. She was not featured in the original version of the game, as she was created specifically for the purpose of adding a new element into the re-release of the game and was then retroactively inserted into the series' continuity (although, she was already mentioned in the original version of George Trevor
's diary).

Lisa is a hideously deformed human, a by-product of the Nemesis parasite injection, with what looks like a large yellow eye on her back, wears tattered clothing, a wooden manacle, fetters and a mask made of several human faces. She can be heard wandering around the Spencer Mansion, dragging her shackles and screaming cries of agony. During the mansion incident (the events of the game), she encounters and attacks the members of S.T.A.R.S.
Alpha Team during their investigation of the residence. She is seemingly impervious to their firepower and attacks with tentacles that come out from her body.

Much of Lisa Trevor's background and history is covered in documents found within the game, as well as in Wesker's Report II . Though she is but a small part in the Resident Evil game, she plays a huge part in the series' backstory.

Background

Lisa was born sometime around 1953, the daughter of George Trevor
, a famous architect from New York who designed the mansion owned by Ozwell E. Spencer
located at the Arklay Mountains
. Since Trevor knew the mansion's layout and most of its secrets, Spencer had him assassinated so that he was the only one left who knew them. He also let his family (wife and daughter) be kidnapped and used them as test subjects for the Progenitor Virus
.

At the age of 14 (on November 10, 1967), Lisa was administered with the "Type-B" variation and underwent a strange mutation. Her mother (Jessica) was administered with the "Type-A" variation of the virus, but it was successfully fought off by her body. Jessica escaped from her cell and tried to find her daughter, but Lisa had already transformed into a mindless monster. Filled with a deep urge to be with her mother, but believing that Jessica was an imposter, Lisa killed her and ripped her face off, wearing it as a mask.

Lisa was captured again and, during the following two decades, was used as a guinea pig for several of the Umbrella Corporation
's viral experiments conducted within the Arklay facility. Unlike other test subjects that were experimented on, Lisa managed to survive all of the viruses and parasites she was exposed to and continued living within the facility. Researchers Albert Wesker
and William Birkin
observed her unusual survival rate. On July 1, 1988, Lisa was administered with the Nemesis
parasite after killing previous specimens in less than five minutes. Instead of killing her, however, Lisa's body absorbed the Nemesis. Birkin began a long-term observation and uncovered that her body underwent twenty-one years of constant mutations as a result of the Progenitor Virus, leaving her immune to the Nemesis prototype. He isolated a new form of virus from Lisa and named it the G-Virus
, which served as the basis for G-Project.

After extracting the virus from her body, Lisa lost her value as a specimen and was scheduled to be disposed of. She regained some of her intelligence after consuming the Nemesis parasite and began exhibiting violent behavior against most of the researchers, killing at least three of them and tearing the face off of another female researcher. In 1995, Lisa was presumably killed and disposed to an undisclosed location within the estate, when in reality she was indestructible and simply left forgotten in a garden shed for three years.

Three years later, the S.T.A.R.S.
Alpha Team, while investigating the Spencer Mansion, encountered Lisa at various places in the mansion. The final encounter occurred within an altar hidden underneath the main hall. The Alpha Team operatives (which included Wesker among them) uncovered the coffin containing Jessica Trevor's remains. After showing the remains to Lisa, she picked up her mother's skull, yelled "MOTHER!" and threw herself into a nearby pitfall. Because of her decades of mutation it is unknown wheather or not the fall killed her. It is possible she is still wandering the Arklay mountains.
