Games - List of Guilty Gear characters

This is an index of characters from the fighting game series Guilty Gear.

Playable Characters

===A.B.A
===
  • First Appearance: Guilty Gear Isuka
An artificially created girl who was never fully completed, A.B.A spent ten years secluded in the mountain villa where she was created. She wields a massive oversized sentient key named Paracelsus, whom she met after venturing out into the world. A.B.A can enable a "double edged" mode whereby she becomes more powerful but takes damage when attacking, and has an "ultimate double edged" mode where she becomes even stronger than Potemkin.

===Anji Mito
===
  • First Appearance: Guilty Gear X
A young and curious Japanese man, he travels the world seeking knowledge about the Gears and 'That Man' for his own reasons. He fights with the magic war fans Zetsusen (Zessen) which is the only know outrage weapon other then the one's used by Ky and Sol. He fights in a dance-like style and uses some wind and lightning magic. Since there are few Japanese people outside of the Japanese colonies, Anji is also rather fond of Baiken, much to her (projected) annoyance.

===Axl Low
===
  • First Appearance: Guilty Gear
Originally from the streets of 20th century London's East End, Axl fought his way through the ranks of the various gangs of his neighborhood in order to bring peace to the streets, until he was mysteriously sent nearly 200 years into the future. He now searches for any way he can return home. He fights with a double kusari-gama with expert skill and is able to use some fire magic.

===Baiken
===

  • First Appearance: Guilty Gear
During the Crusades, the nation of Japan was destroyed by the Gears. Following this, those of Japanese descent who still lived were declared cultural treasures and placed in special colonies. However, the Gears attacked even these colonies. During one attack, the young Baiken, after watching the death of her parents and losing her right arm and left eye, saw standing among the Gears their creator: "That Man". From that point, she swore revenge, training herself in the use of the katana and dedicated herself to hunting "That Man" down. (Baiken was a hidden character in Guilty Gear but became a normal character in the later installments.) Armed with a katana, she also has many hidden surprise weapons within the sleeve of her severed arm: a Japanese mace, a fireworks cannon, a bladed fan, a chain rope, a hook, a claw, and a spear. How this is accomplished is unknown, but it's assumed to be related to the game's out-of-this-world motif, perhaps involving the common gag known as Hammerspace.

===Bridget
===
  • First Appearance: Guilty Gear XX
Despite the name and appearance, Bridget is actually a boy. He was born in a village where the birth of twins of the same gender was considered bad luck, and hence his family named and raised him as a girl. When he became older, he decided that he would prove his worth and his masculinity by becoming a bounty hunter. He is given a fake list of bounties by I-No, sending him against many of the other fighters. He fights with a yo-yo and Roger, his mechanical, intelligent, and oversized teddy bear.

===Chipp Zanuff
===

  • First Appearance: Guilty Gear
A former drug addict and dealer for the mafia, Chipp was marked for death when his addiction got in the way of his duties. It was then that he was taken in by the ninja Tsuyoshi, who trained him in the ways of Ninjutsu. However, Tsuyoshi was murdered, and Chipp swore revenge against the killers. Hotheaded and brash, he fights with a blade on his arm and lightning-fast speed.

===Dizzy
===

  • First Appearance: Guilty Gear X
The daughter of Justice, Dizzy's appearance in the world became a cause of concern to those in power, fearing another war with the Gears. However, Dizzy has no desire to harm anyone and only wishes to live in peace. She is eventually found by and joins the Jellyfish air pirates. (Dizzy is the boss character in GGX.)

Dr. Baldhead

  • First Appearance: Guilty Gear
Once a brilliant and renowned surgeon, Dr. Baldhead tragically lost his mind when a young girl under his care died in surgery. He then became a ruthless and brutal serial killer until his capture, when he was then released to take part in the first tournament. Tall, lanky, and utterly deranged, he fights with a six-foot long oversized scalpel.
