= The Precursors =

The Precursors were an ancient race that created all planets and all life. They created giant robots to show their power and their followers crafted statues to illustrate what they thought the Precursors looked like, although their ideas are now known to be terribly inaccurate. Precursors had the ability to grant people power in exchange for valuables. In Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, their origin and fate were partially explained. In Jak II, they granted Jak Dark Eco powers in exchange for Metal Heads skull gems. It was revealed that the Precursors were wiped out by the Metal Heads, and their sole hope of survival was the Precursor Stone, which was said to be the last Precursor Egg. Jak 3's story revealed this to be false, a shocking twist near the end of game reveals that the Precursors were ottsels (in a scene very similar to the wizard in Wizard of Oz), and Daxter's curse was really a blessing. Count Veger and Daxter's girlfriend Tess were also transformed into ottsels. Count Veger had wanted to evolve into a Precursor and was horrified to find out they were ottsels, but got transformed anyway. Tess became one because she wanted to have a pair of pants JUST like Daxter.

= Ashelin =

Ashelin is the daughter of Baron Praxis and is a Krimzon Guard. She is first seen in Jak II. She seems to have her own agenda, but she helps Torn and the Underground by supplying information. At the end of Jak II, she takes over the throne as Governor of Haven City.

In Jak 3, she attempts to win back control of Haven City by fighting against the Metal Heads and the KG deathbots. Her side is called the Freedom League. At the end there is a strange scene, in which she had kissed Jak, which has sparked some controversy, since Jak and Keira were always together and Ashelin and Torn were too.

In Jak X, she and Torn are back on as an item, while Jak and Keira reprise their roles as the favorite couple.

The actress Susan Eisenberg voices the character of Ashelin.

= Baron Praxis =

Praxis took the throne of Haven City from Damas, and led Haven City harshly. He even made deals with the Metal Head Leader. Praxis attempted to doublecross his partner by creating a dark warrior but that failed and Jak rebelled against him.

Praxis then stole the Precursor Stone from Mar's tomb and attempted to blow up the Metal Head Nest but was killed when the Leader realised his betrayal and blasted him into a large tower of eco drums.

He is voiced by notable voice actor Clancy Brown.

In the Japanese version of Jak II, veteran seiyū Daisuke Gōri voices Praxis.

= Samos Hagai =

Samos was born in Haven City where he became the leader of the movement known as the Underground dedicated to overthrowing Haven's corrupt ruler, Baron Praxis. While leading the resistance he used the name "The Shadow". Samos along with the disguised Metal Head Leader, Kor, was charged with protecting the Kid, the rightful heir to the throne of Haven City. When Jak and Daxter destroyed the Metal Head Leader and saved the city, Samos journeyed to Sandover Village in the past where he helped raise the Kid, revealed to be a younger version of Jak.

In this time he also fathered his daughter, Keira.

Samos became the Green Sage and helped Jak against Gol and Maia in his first adventure. When a Precursor rift gate opened in Sandover Village, Jak, Daxter, Keira, and Samos hurtled through the gate and into the future, where Samos' past relived itself. He remained in Haven after his younger form returned to Sandover, continuing to guide Jak in his adventures.

In Jak 3, Samos is with Jak on the palace when it collapses after a supposed Metal Head assault. When Jak gets back to Haven City, Samos and Keira greet him and tell him about some of the events that have recently happened.

Samos has a fairly small part in Jak 3 and is still one of Jak's good friends in Jak X.

He is voiced by Warren Burton.

= Blue Sage =

The Blue Sage is the descendant of the original sage appointed by the Precursors. He is a master of Blue Eco, an electricity like substance that grants speed. Blue Sage was captured by his former friend Gol Acheron and was forced to power Gol's precursor robot. He was rescued by Jak and together with the other sages, created light Eco.

Blue Sage is arguably the strongest of the four. However, he is also the most eccentric.

= Red Sage =

The Red Sage is the descendant of the original sage appointed by the Precursors. He is a master of Red Eco, a red gooey like substance that gives power. Red Sage was captured by Gol Acheron and was forced to power Gol's precursor robot. He was one of the friendlier sages and lived in the mountain regions of the island. When he was rescued by Jak he mistakenly presumed that Daxter was the one who had rescued him and gave him all the credit! He and the other sages worked together to create light eco.

He is voiced by Sherman Howard.

= Yellow Sage =

The Yellow Sage is the desendant of the original sage appointed by the Precursors. He is a master of Yellow Eco, a bright fiery substance. The Yellow Sage was captured by Gol Acheron.He was the grouchiest of the sages and was intent on making a snack of Daxter, on his back he carries a blaster that presumably shoots yellow eco from its barrel. He along with other sages were rescued by Jak and worked togther to create light eco.
