The following is a list of factions and organizations from the PS2 series Xenosaga.Galaxy FederationThe Galaxy Federation Government (GFG) is the body that governs a huge portion of the known universe (around half a million planets according to the U.M.N. database.). According to the Proto Merkabah maps, it appears that two galaxies have been fully explored, minus the central hole assumed to be the Milky Way. It is therefore logical to assume that the Galaxy Federation currently spans a pair of galaxies. The GFG acts as an over-reaching government system, allowing each individual planet to retain its own government as well. Its planetary capital is Fifth Jerusalem. The Galaxy Federation's governing body is the Galaxy Federation assembly which is comprised of Representatives from nearly half a million autonomous states. The assembly hall is located on the capital planet, however many Representatives choose to participate via the FTL U.M.N. connection. A conference of the highest level to determine the course of the Federation is referred to as the Executive Committee or Executive Committee assembly. The highest position in the Galaxy Federation Government is the Executive Committee Director. This person must be elected via a majority vote by the entire GFG. This position was held by the current Vector Industries CEO, Wilhelm, until several years ago. The U-TIC Organization, a dummy group for Ormus, has several spies placed within Federation councils, including the S.O.C.E. council, representative, and financial groups.Hyams GroupThe Hyams Group is a wealthy organization as of Xenosaga Episode II. Hyams has funded multiple Ormus-fronted organizations, including the Yuriev Institute, U-TIC, and many others. Heinlein, CEO of Hyams, is also a Cardinal in Ormus, and will most likely be its future Patriarch. It must also be noted that Hyams is in control of a Zohar Emulator. Jin Uzuki helped unlock this vital information about the corporation's role in both the Miltian Conflict and various Ormus operations. Both Sellers and Margulis have strong ties to Hyams. Sellers is a Hyams scientist and Margulis is a commander in U-TIC Orginization. In Episode III, Hyams may be finally linked to Ormus, Vector Industries, or both.Immigrant FleetThe Immigrant Fleet is an organization that wishes to control the Zohar. The Immigrant Fleet is led by a man called the Patriarch, who is also the leader of Ormus. The Immigrant Fleet itself is actually a subdivision of the Ormus network. Highly religious and powerful, the Immigrant Fleet claims to have been the guardian of the Zohar "since time immemorable," though this claim may or may not be valid. The Immigrant Fleet was involved in the Miltian Conflict and the uncontrolled space-time anomaly that sealed off Old Miltia. Immigrant Fleet connections, such as U-TIC, had experimented with the original Zohar and lost control, resulting in the disaster. The Immigrant Fleet also controls the U-TIC organization via the Ormus society. They have spent the past years trying to gain access to the Y-Data that Joachim Mizrahi left behind, employing both political maneuvers and outright brute force. Though they succeeded in unlocking the way to Old Miltia, the Immigrant Fleet suffered a major defeat when the Zohar and the Omega System were activated, which destroyed the Immigrant Fleet as well as the Federation and Miltian taskforces sent to stop them. At the moment it is unknown whether the Immigrant Fleet still exists, though there are survivors such as Inquisitor Margulis and Cardinal Heinlein. The Patriarch himself was later eliminated by the Testaments. The chain of command in the Immigrant Fleet seems to start with the Patriarch, but this is questionable as another man may be the ultimate head. This then extends to the Inquisitors, who follow the Patriarch's orders but aren't completely subordinate to him. Not much else is known about the command structure. However, it must also be noted that the Immigrant Fleet is a major division of the Ormus religious organization. It is highly likely that the remains of the Immigrant Fleet were simply absorbed into Ormus or one of its fronts. Kukai FoundationThe Kukai Foundation was a special organization established soon after the end of the Miltian Conflict, and its sole purpose was to subjugate the U-TIC organization. Since then, most of its military forces were decommissioned, and the other divisions branched off into sprawling, independent civilian corporations, thus forming the basis of the foundation's present structure. The unique concept has been proven to work, for the Foundation is in the top ten rising organizations in the galaxy. Its current leader is Gaignun Kukai, its second in command would be Jr. followed by Shelley and Mary. Not surprisingly, the Kukai Foundation is a primary source for Shelly and Mary Fan Club members. The fact that Vector Industries is one of its primany investors explains why most of the equipment installed onboard the Durandal is highly advanced and made by Vector.[ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for List of organizations in Xenosaga ] | Searches on eBay |
