Games - List of vehicles in Star Wars: Battlefront II

This is a list of vehicles in Star Wars: Battlefront II

Planetary vehicles

Scout vehicles

Scout vehicles are meant mostly for getting across the battlefield faster than on foot, they are armed with one or two blasters and have no critical hit points.

  • STAP (Single Trooper Assault Platform)
  • BARC Speeder (Biker Advanced Recon Commando)
  • Speeder bike

Medium assault vehicles

Medium assault vehicles are the main vehicles used on the battlefield, some have a pilot and a copilot, and they are armed with a variety of weapons.

  • Hailfire Droid
  • AT-RT (All Terain Recon Transport)
  • Republic IFT-X Hover Tank
  • Imperial IFT-T Hover Tank
  • Alliance AAC-1 (Alliance Anti-Aircraft speeder)
  • AAT Hovertank (Armored Assault Tank)

Critical hit areas

Vehicles (except the Tauntauns) now have a critical-hit area which can be capitalized on. A rocket strike to the vulnerable point of an AT-ST will reduce its health by 75%, says Dan Nanni, in the on the main site.

  • Alliance AAC-1: Black coolant tanks on sides of tank
  • Republic IFT-X Hover Tank and Imperial IFT-T Hover Tank: Circle at rear of tanks
  • AT-TE: Cylindrical area along the underbelly
  • AT-AT: Neck between body and head
  • AAT: Rear panel
  • Corporate Alliance Tank Droid: Rear tread cylinder
  • Hailfire Droid: Cylinders below cockpit
  • AT-RT: Cylinder between legs or pilot
  • Homing spider droid: Where the legs connect to the body
  • AT-ST: the back between where the legs connect
  • LAAT Gunship: Cockpit
  • Landing Craft: Lower neck
  • Droid Gunship: Rear panel
  • ARC-170 Starfighter: Cockpit

Starfighters

Each faction (Rebels, Empire, Republic, CIS) features four different types of starfighter. Each has different amounts of weapons, shields, and boost points (which let the fighter move faster to perform evasive maneuvers).

Bombers

Bombers are heavily armed and armored, but have extremely slow-firing weaponry which is ineffective against the swift-moving starfighters. The Republic V-wing features bombs which have longer range, but the Strike Bomber's bombs will cause much more damage if dropped from a higher altitude.

Y-wings and TIE bombers have other features which make them tougher. Y-wings feature a repeating turret gunner to strike other starfighters while the TIE Bomber features remote missiles effective against turrets.

  • Y-wing
  • TIE bomber
  • V-wing Starfighter
  • CIS Strike Bomber - General Grievous' starfighter.

Fighters

Multi-Pupose craft are medium sized all-purpose ships with a mix of firepower and speed. They are effective in attacking other small vessels, but can be used effectively against fixed targets, like turrets and shield generators on capital ships. They are all extremely similar and all feature proton torpedoes as secondary weapons (even the TIE Fighter). They lock on slowly but pack more of a punch against ship systems or frigates than the lighter rockets carried by scout fighters.

  • ARC-170 Starfighter
  • X-wing Starfighter
  • TIE fighter
  • Droid starfighter

Scout craft

Scout craft, or interceptors, are fast, fragile, lightly-armed dogfighters. They feature missiles which lock on quickly but do not hit hard, and their rapid-firing lasers are best used against multi-role fighters.

The Tri-Fighter distinguishes itself with a different weapons load than every other scout fighter, including a repeating blaster which is quite similar to the Clone Commander's chaingun.

  • A-wing Starfighter
  • TIE interceptor
  • Republic Starfighter
  • Droid tri-fighter

Transports

Transports have the most carrying capacity of all the vehicles. All transports are mobile command posts, so even when landed in an enemy capital ship, troops can spawn there until it takes off or gets destroyed. These vehicles have more armor than the average, but in most cases they are slow and have one weak spot that can be exploited. They also have remote control rockets which can be controlled by another person within the transport.

  • Alliance Assault Craft
  • LAAT Gunship (Low-Altitude Assault Transport variant)
  • Droid Gunship
  • Landing Craft
