Lulu is a character in the game Final Fantasy X. Her appearance and name could have been inspired by silent film star Louise Brooks.

She is one of Yuna's guardians, and treats her like a younger sister. Initially at least, her physical attacks are weak but she is the only guardian to know black magic. She resembles the character type Black Mage.

Lulu doesn't attack directly; instead, she sends dolls to attack by proxy. These include cactuar and moogle dolls. Her overdrive mode is called "Fury" and enables her to repeat-cast any black magic spell. The number of times depends of the strength of the spell and how fast the player manages to rotate the joystick.

Lulu has long dark hair in several braids and wears a long black dress trimmed with fur. Despite its length, it leaves little to the imagination (mostly because the front of the dress consists entirely of a large number of belts).

She is often stern and scathing (especially to Wakka), and doesn't smile very often, but her heart is in the right place. She is also highly intelligent, and is one of the few Yevonites who questions her religion on objective and subjective levels. Nonetheless, she is still shaken by Yevon's betrayal, but adjusts much faster than the other believers in her party.

Before becoming a guardian to Yuna, Lulu guarded two previous summoners whose pilgrimages abruptly ended before reaching Zanarkand Ruins. Her second summoner, Father Zuke's pilgrimage ended because he chose not to go through in getting the Final Aeon, which he decided in the Calm Lands.

Lulu doesn't let on during the main plot of the game, but the memory of her first summoner's failed pilgrimage still haunts her. Lady Ginnem was the first summoner she guarded, whose journey to the Final Aeon was cut short by her unfortunate death in the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth, on their way to acquiring the hidden Aeon Yojimbo. When Yuna and company detour to the valley where the cave is, Lulu decides to follow and face her painful memories. At the end of the cave, the group meets Lady Ginnem as an unsent, on the verge of becoming a murderous fiend. Lulu knew that she must fufill her last duty as Ginnem's guardian, and they subdued Ginnem in battle so that Yuna could send her to the Farplane.

Despite the barrier that Lulu had been engaged to Wakka's younger brother Chappu, when he was killed by Sin, the romance that lay beneath the surface of Lulu and Wakka's relationship was eventually realised. In Final Fantasy X-2 Lulu is pregnant with, and gives birth to, Wakka's child, a baby boy whom Wakka names "Vidina." Vidina is 'future' in the Al Bhed cipher.
