Plot
SG-1 arrives on a world recently ravaged by war. In a building, they find a young woman android, completely unscathed, who turns out to be the creator of the Replicators. She uses her nano-technology self-repair system to change objects on a microscopic scale. They bring Reese back to the SGC, and continue searching the planet for a reason why it is deserted. An SG team returns from the planet with replicator bits, which Jack knows full well what they are.
Meanwhile, Reese creates a replicator, as a toy for her and Daniel Jackson to play with. He is surprised, and the replicator is contained, and placed in a clear plastic box guarded by Teal'c.
Reese becomes upset, thinking everyone hates her. Daniel tries to console her, and convince her other wise. Eventually, Reese, believing that everybody is plotting to destroy her, creates an army of replicators and attempts to escape through the Stargate. Fearing that she will lose control of her replicators again, SG-1 decides that they must eliminate Reese. They acitvate the base's self destruct and attempt to break into the gate room. Meanwhile, Daniel tries to convince Reese to stop what she is doing, but as time passes, the team realizes that the replicators are beginning to act independently. Not wanting to take any chances, O'Neill shoots Reese, inflicting mortal damage to the android. Even though he understands that O'Neill had no choice, Daniel becomes extremely angry at him, since he believed he almost convinced Reese to stop the replicators.Quotes
