| Mishima Style Fighting Karate (三島流喧嘩空手, Mishima-ryū Kenka Karate; "Mishima-style Brawling Karate)" is a fictional variant of Karate used in Namco's fighting game series Tekken by characters belonging to the Mishima family, a powerful clan which controls the Mishima Zaibatsu (三島財閥; "Mishima Financial Empire.)" Drawn from such real-life disciplines such as Goju-Ryu Karate and Shotokan Karate but most heavily from Kyokushin Karate (which also inspired Ansatsuken from Street Fighter), the Mishima Style emphasizes fast, powerful moves and evasive movement such as the crouch dash. Signature Mishima moves are Twin Pistons / Double Upper (ダブルアッパー; Heihachi uses the Musō Renken, or 無双連拳; "Unparalleled Combination Punch,)" Tsunami Kicks / Kakato-otoshi (踵落とし; "axe kick,)" Demon Slayer / Kikoku Renken (鬼哭連拳; "Weeping Demon Combination Punch,)" and the Hell Sweeps / Naraku-barai (奈落払い; "Hades Sweep)" Wind God Fist / Fūjinken (風神拳,) and Thunder God Fist / Raijinken (雷神拳,) all three of which must be executed during a crouch dash.
