Mister Mosquito is a video game for the PlayStation 2. Originally released only in Japan, it was later released worldwide.

Made up of a series of levels, which you may choose at will before each level you will be 'briefed' by a sardonic female voice on the concept of the level, the room it takes place in and the target there, plus any dangers, and be given a small text display with a fairly cryptic hint or two

You play as a comical cartoon mosquito ('Mr Moskeeto') and you must stock up on blood through the summer so that you may survive the winter ahead, to do this Mr Moskeeto has taken up residency in the house of the Yamada family, father Kenichi, mother Kaneya and teenage daughter Rena, Kenichi enjoys flower arranging while wife Kaneya is a hobby photographer, Rena is a student about to go on a trip who listens to Progressive Jazz and is into martial arts.

=Gameplay= The gameplay for first 8 levels revolves around one thing, sucking blood from the Yamada family (and Rena's friend Aiaka) while they go about their everyday business. However you can only suck from a certain designated area that will only be available at specific times, each family member follows a set pattern of movements that repeat itself over and over until you successfully meet your quota of blood for that level but each character has a stress meter, that looks similar to a heart monitor, controlled by the speed you suck, when it is green and relatively flat you are in the clear, it will then turn to yellow then finally to red, then you are danger, and must pull out instantly for fear of being swatted. You can interact with parts of the level environment to aggravate and control the family member, but be careful, irritate them to much, or fly in their sight to many times, or for too long and they'll spot you, then you will have a 'Battle' here you must target red lit points on the family member's body to relax them and allow you to suck some more. Like many games you have a health bar, shown as hearts (the number of these can be increased) and a number of lives (which again can be increased) via stealing food from the levels, you can bump into the environment, and even the family members, as much as you like and will receive no damage, but be purposely swatted or sprayed during a battle, or hit the various insecticides and repellents and you'll lose half a heart of life. Be swatted while sucking blood, and you'll die, regardless. Levels 9 through 11 are simply one long 'Battle' where each member of the Yamada family must be subdued before having their blood sucked, their movements can be made sluggish and fewer by targeting 'relax points' on their body, but they can only be made to faint by hitting one large green/yellow target.

Stages

Stages 1 Rena's Room Rena is having a lie down on her bed bored, you can turn her stereo on and turn the lights off on her, both will wake her and make wander around, otherwise she'll simply lie there, turning slightly once in a while, once she sits back down you can target a small area on her left leg, just below her shorts.

Stages 2 Yamada Family Storeroom Kaneyo is searching for a family album, she'll simply move from left to right infrot on the boxes, in between those boxes is bright purple poisonous gas, avoid this, once she's walked back one you can target the back of left calf, near the bottom of her trouser.

Stages 3 TV Room Kenichi is laying watching Television, you can turn it off using the remote, as well as make the telephone buzz and ring a small bell, once disturbed and comfortable again, you'll be able to target a small section on the top of his head, amongst his magnificent combover, this will only be there for a few seconds, so act quick!

Stage 4 Bathroom Rena is having a nice relaxing bath, but she's sitting with the shower so don't get caught by her or you'll get sprayed! after a minute she'll doze off and a very small area will be targetable just above her left breast, but the clock counts down and the longer you take the more steam fills the room, plus popping the bubbles that float around will draw Rena's attention.

Stage 5 Kitchen Kenayo is cooking dinner, but all she's doing is waiting for a pot to boil, this is the first level to feature multiple target areas, Kenayo has two, she just walks from side to side as she did before in Stage 2, burn her hand and then return to her original position, where she'll stand for a minute and hum, revealing her left soul, the first target area is there, on the heal, the second is on her fourth toe on her right foot, you'll have to be totally above it successfully reach it, otherwise you'll hit the other toes.

Stage 6 Rena's Room Rena is now doing her martial arts practice, she can't be targeted at all doing this, she's also growing very agitated, having been bitten the most, you can activate her stereo again, though this will only serve to anger her totally, luckily her mobile phone is on the bed, you can make it ring, and while she stands and talks to someone you can target her, she has two areas, one on the side of her neck, the other on her the index finger of her left hand.
