Mystic Ruins is an area in the video game Sonic Adventure and its remake Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. A group of archeologists are exploring the ruins of some ancient civilzation. Unfortunately, they were not prepared for the crash landing of Angel Island. Some of the archeologists have gotten themselves lost in the maze of the thick jungle that surrounds the Maya-like temple, whereas others have just gotten completely confused as to what happened. Tails's workshop and biplane runway are stuffed in the eastern corner of the Mystic Ruins, along with a train station which can take passengers to Station Square. In the jungle is Big the Cat's hut and the entrance to the Final Egg base.

Other areas in the Mystic Ruins are Windy Valley (a very windy hilly area where tornadoes easily form), Icecap (an icy and snowy mountainous region where avalanches are common and people like to ski), Red Mountain (a rocky canyon with little plant life) and a Chao Garden.
