NetSurf is an open source web browser for RISC OS
and Unix (via GTK+). It aims to be a HTML4 and CSS2 compliant browser, and was conceived by James Shaw (alias Hertzsprung) on in in early 2002.

Releases

There have been no official releases of NetSurf, although RISC OS test builds are available publicly to download every time a change is made to the source code in CVS, and development is very active.

Version 1.0

This is the currently targeted release, and will promoted as a fully fledged browser for the RISC OS platform, however the Unix version will remain very basic, and mostly exists as a debugging aid.

Version 2.0

Once version 1.0 has been released, work will begin on version 2.0 which will be released as a fully fledged browser for both Unix and RISC OS, aswell as other platforms with GTK+ support.
