Onox("Gorgon" in the Japanese version) is known as the General of Darkness. The very ground becomes infertile once he steps on it. He at first seemed to be the mastermind behind the kidnapping of the Oracle of Seasons, Din, using her power to turn Holodrum into a dying land. When Link challenged him, Onox revealed his true form: a demonic armored dragon called the "Dark Dragon". He was destroyed by Link but, as it turned out, he was only gathering the powers of destruction from the dying lands of Holodrum for the Twinrova Sisters in their plan to ressurect Ganondorf. He bears a slight resemblance to the Iron Knuckles of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
