Open Outcast: The Hidden Gate is the free sequel to the computer game Outcast.

The development advances fast since the switch to Crystal Space
. The storyline is only finished approximately yet, and only partially published.

Open Outcast is Free Software, currently licensed under the GNU General Public Licence.

The developers call themself Eternal Outcasts and are international developers, mainly from Germany, who coordinate their work over the internet.

, who is extended by the Open Outcast programers.
