| Panzer General II is the sequel to the computer simulation Panzer General. In the April 2000 issue of the magazine PC Gamer, it was voted the 44th best computer game of all time. Produced in 1997 by the computer game publisher Strategic Simulations, Panzer General II is chess-like in play with painting-style rendered maps, with Play-by-email capability. It is the best of the Panzer General computer game series by far, with massive fan mods and support. , Oronzo PZ2 equipment file and Waffenkammer are a few of the most innovative user mods, with many others available. The game still has a huge following in the wargamer community. It is a WW2 computer game classic, like the Close Combat series , Talonsoft's East Front, and the turn-based Axis And Allies Iron Blitz.
