Paper Wars is published by Omega Games and edited by John Burtt. It is published bi-monthly and issues are mailed after the first day of January, March, May, July, September and November.

The magazine began life as Wargame Collector's Journal in September/October 1991, and beginning with Number 9 in March 1993 became known by the current title. The magazine was still in print in 2005. A CD-ROM containing the first 27 issues in .pdf format was released in 2005 as well.

The magazine features reviews of new games from small and large companies, books of interest to wargamers, industry news and current, and ads from the wargaming hobby.
