The Pelican VG Pocket is a handheld dedicated console. It is the world's fist commercially marketed handheld console to have built-in games and a 2" backlit color LCD screen respectively. However, it has no cartridge slot.

A odd feature is the screen overlay it comes with. It appears to be from the game "Motor Rally",But looking at it reveals it is not,And is probably from a earlier version of it.

The first release had 50 built-in games, many of them clones of old NES games. Some people believe that this product has NES-on-a-chip technology. This gaming device also has a TV-out port with composite video and audio streaming through a non-standard stereo mini headset jack. This product has two variations. One is called VG Pocket Max which has 75 built-in games and a 2.5" screen. The other is called VG Pocket Mini, which has 20 built-in games and a 1.5" screen. This game unit had poor sales, and has been discontinued.
