| Peter C. Fishburn (1936-) is known as a pioneer in the field of decision making processes. He received his B.S. in Industrial engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1958, his M.S. in Operations Research in 1961, and a Ph.D in Operations Research in 1962, the latter two from the Case Institute of Technology. In collaboration with Steven Brams, he devised Approval voting in 1977. In 1996, he won the John von Neumann Prize. He is currently employed with AT&T Laboratories in the state of New Jersey, USA.
