Picnic Paranoia took the idea of killing insects in a video game to a whole new level. Ants would attempt to haul off watermelons, pies and other food items from four blankets on the screen. Equipped with a flyswatter, the player would attempt to keep the insects at bay by killing them with a swat. The game would end when all of the food was taken completely off the screen. A limited number of lifesaving bug sprays were available that would eradicate all ants on the screen at the time of use.
