| Rebecca Ann Heineman, formerly known as Bill Heineman, is a computer game programmer. A long-time veteran of the computer game industry, Heineman has been affiliated at various times with Interplay Productions, Contraband Entertainment, Logicware, Electronic Arts and MacPlay, possibly among other game companies. In the mid-1980s, Heineman programmed the cult classic adventure games Tass Times in Tonetown, Mindshadow, The Tracer Sanction, Borrowed Time and The Bard's Tale III: Thief of Fate. Due to her love of storing hamburgers in her desk drawers, her friends used to call her "Burger" (and when they would call for her, she would sometimes respond, "Burger.") In November of 2003, she was diagnosed with gender identity disorder and began the transition from Bill Heineman into Rebecca Ann Heineman, a transgendered woman.
