In the fictional Warcraft Universe, the Royal Apothecary Society is a group of Forsaken who have been entrusted with the duty to develop deadly toxins and poisons to eradicate all life in the world of Azeroth. This job was entrusted to them by Sylvanas Windrunner, leader of the Forsaken.

More importantly, however, they seek a remedy to the undead plague. Their primary target is not the living, but their worst enemy the Scourge, the Lich King's slaves and mindless undead. They seek a way to undo the corruption the Scourge has caused and turn it against them.

The current leader of the Royal Apothecary Society is Master Apothecary Faranell.
