Samurai is a character class or Job Ability that can be obtained at level 30 as an advanced jobs. In order to unlock this job the player must complete a quest which involves the killing of two Notorious Monsters. After the mosters are killed the player must bring the new found items to Norg and have them forged into a Great Katana. Samurai's Roll in a Party
Samurai are well known for their ability to quickly gain TP faster then an other job. The main use of their weapon skills is to be able to chain with other members of your party, which allows for a strong magic burst in a well organized party. Samurai are also one of the greatest meele damage dealers in the game, next to Dark Knight.

Samurai Weapon Skills
Tachi: Enpi - Two fold attack.
Tachi: Habbaku - A stunning attack.
Tachi: Goten - A lightning strike.
Tachi: Kaggero - A fire attack.
Tachi: Jinpu - A earth attack.
Tachi: Gekko - A four strike attack.
Tachi: Kaiten - Weapon skill obtained from the Amanomurakumo.

In Final Fantasy X-2, Yuna, Rikku, and Paine can all use the Samurai dressphere.
