Shandi Sullivan (born in April 2, 1982), from Kansas City, Missouri has come to be famous after she had entered the reality TV show America's Next Top Model. She was in the top three, along with Yoanna House and Mercedes Yvette in Cycle 2, but was eliminated. She worked as a cashier before entering the show.

On The Show

Sullivan started out as a mousy girl with huge glasses and a tall, skinny body. However, week by week, she started to improve and showed that she had the potential to be a high-fashion model, from posing as Nicole Kidman to portraying subtle elegance underwater for Queénch magazine. Her body has been speculated to be ideal for a runway model.

In one episode, controversy surrounded Sullivan in Italy when she had sexual intercourse with an Italian stranger. Feeling guilty, she decided to call her boyfriend, Eric, to come clean. The phonecall met with much of Eric's frustration while Sullivan apologized regretfully. Nonetheless, the both of them have looked past the situation: Eric gave Shandi confidence and disallowed her from quitting the show.

Ever since that incident, the judges believed Sullivan lost focus on winning, thus giving both House and Scelba-Shorte an opportunity to fight for the title of America's Next Top Model. Sullivan sacrificed herself being on the show to being with Eric and her parents back in Missouri. As of the "Return to the Runway" episode which aired during the fourth cycle Shandi and Eric had decided to break up but remain friends after a year. Since the show she has started modeling. On November 11, 2005 at The Tyra Banks Show, Shandi and Eric went public about their relationship. Eric discussed how he felt hurt, and vulnerable. They confirmed that they are just friends, and don't trust each other enough for a long-term relationship.

Sullivan has maintained close ties with winner Yoanna House.

Admitting to burglary

During the show, Sullivan made a passing reference to an incident when she burglarized a candy store called Mr. Bulky's, in Kansas City, Missouri on December 13, 2000. According to the website, The Smoking Gun, she stole a fax machine, a small safe, and $650 USD in cash during the evening hours, long after the store had closed for the day. Sullivan was later arrested in May 2001, but was eventually placed on two years probation after pleading to the heist. In November 2005, on The Tyra Banks Show, Shandi said she was wrongly accused of the crime. She also says that she spent half a day in jail.

As of Nov 2, 2005, according to Papermag.com, Shandi is working as a DJ in New York.
