| SystemStarter is a system program in Mac OS X that brings the computer system up from its initial starting state to a state where basic services are running and the user may log in. SystemStarter was originally written by Wilfredo Sanchez for Mac OS X in C using Mac OS X's Core Foundation framework. In Mac OS X v10.4, it was largely replaced by launchd.
