The Tasoth are usually encountered fairly late in the computer game X-Com, and are among the most aggressive combatants the player will face.

They are armed with the full array of alien weaponry, and their above average skills and high intelligence make them dangerous.

Only two ranks are available to the Tasoth: Soldier and Squad Leader, both of which have good defences against Molecular Control attacks - but only the Squad Leaders may initiate MC combat.

They are not especially resistant to any weaponry, but they do have a lot of health which enables them to take a lot of punishment.

Tasoth are vital to the advancement of X-COM technology, as only the interrogation of a live Tasoth (of any rank) will reveal the secrets of the more advanced Molecular Control topics.
