Teimour Radjabov (b. March 12, 1987 in Baku, Azerbaijan) is a leading Azerbaijani chess player. In the January 2006 FIDE list, Radjabov had an Elo rating of 2700, making him number nineteen in the world, and Azerbaijan's number two behind Shakhriyar Mamedyarov.

From their first encounter to the end of 2004 Linares, Radjabov and Garry Kasparov have 1 loss, 1 win, and 5 draws each.

In the 2003 Linares tournament, at age 15, Radjabov beat Kasparov with the black pieces (moves given in Algebraic chess notation):

In so doing, he became the first player born since Kasparov first became World Chess Champion in 1985 to defeat him. It is also believed that Radjabov became the youngest player in history to defeat a reigning world #1 in a game at tournament time controls.

In 2003, he also defeated Viswanathan Anand and Ruslan Ponomariov with the black pieces. He is probably the first player ever to beat three former and reigning FIDE World Chess Champions with the black pieces in one year.

And to the end of 2003, Radjabov and Judit Polgar, the best female chess player in history, have 1 loss, 1 win, and 2 draws each.

On February 22, 2006, Teimour defeated FIDE World Champion Veselin Topalov (rated 2801) with the black pieces and subsequently won the second prize at the Linares Super GM Tournament in Morelia, Mexico.
