In the Dungeons & Dragons
campaign setting Forgotten Realms, The Weave is the fundamental force of arcane magic, from which spellcasters draw their strength. It permeates the world, comparable to aether, the mystical substance.

It is tended by the goddess Mystra. In recent times, the goddess Shar has created a rival Shadow Weave which she hopes will lure a number of evil spellcasters to her worship.
