Tichondrius is a fictional character in the Warcraft universe — a fictional universe in which a series of games and books are set.

Tichondrius the Darkener was first in the ranks of the vampiric Nathrezim (by the human tongue of Azeroth known as Dreadlords), and served as a royal messenger to the demonlords of the Burning Legion, here among his master Kil'jaeden. There have been two other Dreadlords shown with Tichondrius: Anetheron and Mephistroth.

When the Legion invaded Azeroth for the second time, Tichondrius was given rule over the Undead Scourge as invaded the lands of Lordaeron alongside Lord Archimonde.

When Tichondrius traveled to Kalimdor with the rest of the Legion, he gained control of the powerful demonic artifact, The Skull of Gul'dan, and he settled himself in the dark forests of Felwood.

There he was killed by the demon hunter Illidan Stormrage, who had consumed the demonic powers in the Skull of Guldan. So he died, one of the greatest and most cruel of the dreadlords to ever roam the earth of Azeroth.

His brother and second in the ranks of the Nathrezim, Anetheron ruled in his stead. Anetheron was however killed when the legion lost at the battle of Mt. Hyjal.

Only Mephistroth's whereabouts remain unknown. Some think he either died and others believe he fled back to the Twisting Nether.
